Arlene Dickinson offers entrepreneurs fresh advice on new CBC podcast

Venture Communications is excited to announce that its CEO, Arlene Dickinson, is launching a new podcast series with CBC, "Venturing Out with Arlene Dickinson."

The series, hosted by Dickinson, explores the ups and downs and frank realities of entrepreneurship through lively and often humorous discussion with renowned Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Dickinson and CBC assembled an all-star lineup to kick off the series, including Kirstine Stewart, Matthew Corrin, Christine Magee, Jann Arden, and Terry O’Reilly, among others.

The announcement comes on the heels of several new projects for the Dragon’s Den star and marketing guru all focused on helping entrepreneurs succeed. These include her return to CBC’s Dragon’s Den, a new venture capital fund for food and health companies, and expansion of her two national accelerators, District Ventures.

“This podcast was made with a view to offering real and practical advice to all Canadian entrepreneurs.  We always hear about the fun parts - it's time to talk about the good, bad and sometimes ugly parts of the life of an entrepreneur" said Dickinson.

“We are excited to collaborate with Arlene to create this podcast. I was really surprised by the candour from both our guests and Arlene. I find it interesting that no matter how successful people are they never feel like they've made it,” said CBC producer, Meegan Read.
