First off: this is Arlene Dickinson. You might know her as one of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs. Or maybe you‘ve seen her as one of the stars of CBC’s Dragons‘ Den. Or maybe you caught one of her many speaking engagements as the voice of the entrepreneurial movement in Canada.

We are currently looking to add a full time CMS Administrator to our Calgary team. This is an entry-level role, responsible for managing and supporting back end CMS systems for a variety of clients under the direction of the Digital Director.  The successful candidate will have proven technical, strategic and communications skills with a high attention to detail and ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.

Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Manage content within a variety of CMS systems, adjusting page/product content and information associated to a plethora of other entities
  • Provide email and telephone support for clients that leverage CMS systems being managed
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with supported clients
  • Effectively interface with Project Managers to ensure scheduling and completion of support tasks which require digital resourcing
  • Build a deep familiarity with the systems being managed, and propose adaptions or improvements, correct typos, catch potential issues before they occur, be in touch with the entire system’s health.

Desired skills and experience:

  • 1-3 years in a related capacity (digital, ecommerce, support).
  • Knowledge of online marketing and understanding of major marketing channels and marketing fundamentals all considered assets
  • Proficient at problem solving, and understands the basics of web technology
  • Demonstrated HTML experience, and familiarity with WYSIWYG’s
  • Excellent grammar skills and high attention to detail
  • Photography and editing software experience an asset, including expertise with smartphone-based tools
  • Proficiency in CMS systems management, for example Wordpress, Silverstripe, ModX, …
  • Experience utilizing social media management software, such as Hootsuite or TweetReach, as well as social listening tools considered an asset
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Pro-active, entrepreneurial mindset

We are looking for a passionate Information Architect / User Experience Specialist, focused on digital product development, to join our team based in Calgary.

As part of our technology group, this person will be focused on championing great user experiences for our clients and digital products.


  • Perform analysis (heuristic and similar) to generate documentation that directs information architecture, the user experience, and wireframes.
  • Create information architecture documentation for digital products across web, smartphones, and tablets in both browser and mobile app mediums.
  • Design cutting edge user experience documentation for digital products across web, smartphones, and tablets in both browser and mobile app mediums.
  • Quickly and clearly concept ideas through sketching or other rapid prototyping methods.
  • Produce user interaction diagrams, use case diagrams, screen flows, wireframes, and creative mock-ups.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including project management, client management, strategic planning, design, and development.
  • Understands audience groupings and personas.
  • Assist in getting feedback from target audiences through usability testing, surveys, or focus groups.


  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your mobile and web application work.
  • Passionate about the end user experience and best practices in the digital space.
  • High degree of interest in usability and understanding user needs.
  • Experience working in an iterative and highly collaborative design shop.
  • Fluency in wire-framing mockup tools such as Keynote, Omnigraffle or Balsamiq.
  • Proficiency in visual prototyping tools, such as Axure, and HTML/CSS.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities, with experience in presenting to and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience in the entire product lifecycle.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education preferably in interaction design, multimedia design, ergonomics, human factors or a related field.
  • 5+ years of UX design experience for digital consumer products and services.
  • 2+ years of experience in mobile platform UX design.
